Resources

This section is designed to connect leaders and families with various resources ranging from our service unit, our council, our community, and the Internet.

In this section, you'll find information on helpful printed materials, such as forms, books, and guides. You'll also find various equipment that are available for your troop's use. There is a list of contacts if you have any questions. Look in How To's & Other Info for ideas and supplemental resources.

To view and print PDF forms you'll need a copy of Adobe Acrobat™ Reader, available for free online at the Adobe site. (Tip: Right-click on the PDF link, select Save Target As, save the file to your computer, and then open it.)

If you know of other resources to add to this section, let us know!

Four World Centers “Tour” for Brownies

Time:  One Hour
Number of girls:  6-35
Take a trip to the different World Centers of Girl Scouting/Girl Guiding and do a fun activity from each country.  Think about which World Center you would like to visit someday.  This program is designed for exploration rather than earning a specific Try-It, though many leaders have applied the requirements to different Try-Its of their choosing.  Many troops choose to supplement this program with a special snack.

Global Awareness Badge for Juniors

Time:  2 1/2 hours (can do in more than one session)
Number of girls:  5-20
Examine the problem of world hunger through the point of view of a Girl Guide from another country.  Think hard about what we can all do together to help solve this problem.  Learn a lot about Girl Scouting/Girl Guiding in other countries!  Designed to complete the Global Awareness badge.

World Neighbors Badge for Juniors

Time:  One hour
Number of girls:  6-35
Learn about about other girls from around the world.  Take a trip to the Girl Scout World Centers while you learn a little language, a little culture, and have a lot of fun!  Designed to earn the World Neighbors badge as well as to provide exposure to the World Centers.

Tailored Programs for Any Age/Group

I am an experienced activity leader for many age levels and group sizes.  What do you have in mind?  How about one of my specialties – Spanish language and culture, trip planning, exploring India, anything Mexico . . . let me know!
